![]() This is a pivotal trim part-the rear glass gasket trim. It shows big time and is (unfortunately) not available. The front one is. So, we have to go the hard way to restore these-iron out all of the dents. This is a very thin and soft aluminum, no filler can be used, we can only work in the metal. Next, the piece is sent out to have the remaining anodized finish removed (de-plated). Then it comes back to our shop to be polished. Finally, the "looking-like-new" part is sent back to the plating shop to be re-anodized. It is worth all of the trouble-a boogered trim can make the whole job look bad. |
